Honeymoon

If you're already married, where did you have your honeymoon?

If you're planning on getting married, where are you going on your honeymoon?

Any strange/unusual location ideas?

We went to the Gray Rocks Inn. It's located in Quebec in the Laurentians. We chose it because it was located within a couple of hours of where we had the wedding (Ottawa Valley) and it was an all-inclusive resort. The idea of paying one price for the cost of the stay and all meals was very attractive.

I had never heard of it but found an ad at the back of a bridal magazine. I wrote to them to get more information (this was before a lot of people were on the 'Net, myself included) and was very impressed with the place.

It certainly lived up to our hopes and expectations. The food was excellent and there were lots of activities available (golf, tennis, boat tours, pool, weight room, horseback riding).

We haven't had the opportunity to go back but I would like to return at some point.

We spent a week at The Enchanted Gardens in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. It is a resort that used to be an old botanical gardens, so it has all the ammenities of a resort, but is far more isolated. It is beautiful with 14 natural waterfalls and an aviary. You could spend hours just roaming around the grounds. It is not beachfront although a shuttle runs every hour and it takes about 10 minutes to get there. We loved it!

Let's see...

We got married and honeymooned in Las Vegas NV. Now, we go back to Vegas once or twice a year. We had actually thought about renewing our vows as the same little chapel we got married in but it has since been torn down.

We spent the night in a hotel! That was our honeymoon and it was actually quite nice. But perhaps for an anniversary later on we can plan the honeymoon of our dreams!!

We live in Virginia Beach, got married on the beach itself and stayed in a beautiful suite at an oceanfront hotel.

Once upon a time I wanted to go to New Orleans. My second choice is Hawaii
but that's not looking to good now either.
